Stone sat down in a tree watching as he saw his brother stop.He looked behind Rainstar and saw Briarleaf. He jumped out of the tree and stood infront of them. He looked at them both. "It's been a while Raintalon." Stone looked at his brother then to Briarleaf. "You to, Briarkit. I bet you don't even remember me."

THEN the cat pounces on Briarleaf.

Briarleaf scrables up and huddles next to Rainstar, shaking. (scaredy cat but youll see why!)

"Who?" Rainstar looked at Briarleaf worried.

"Rouge?" Stone looked at the cat.

Briarleaf's eyes were dull as she was flooded with memories. Sways and falls to the ground and speaks a few words before she passes out:
ReplyDelete" The cat that murdered my mother. "
Then everything went black.
"Briarleaf?!" Rainstar pulled Briarleaf under a tree and watched his brothers actions.

Stone hissed and launched at the cat, slightly missing.

.....Blackness swept over Briarleaf as she slipped into uncounsicuness. Suddenly she was back to the day her mother died, whenshe followed her mother hunting. She had been hiding behind a tree, as Briarkit and suddenly a huge black tom leaped onto her mother. They started fighting and Briarkit ran for help. By, the time help came her mother was dead, and the tom was gone. Briarkit was alone.

ReplyDeleteRainstar silently watched as the tom and Stone were fighting. He sprained his foot going down from the fence but didn't notice until now.He was to content on finding his brother that he had forgotten. Rainstar watched Briarleaf squirm like she was having a night-mare.

Stone launched at the tom again, this time biteing his hind leg.

"No.....Mother....Please don't leave..."
she whispered. She was starting to get feverish and started coughing.

Stone finally clawed the toms ear which sent him running,the tom was sure to come back soon thats for sure.

Briarleaf opened her eyes and blinked. She realized she was feverish and coughing. To Stone she said, "You know the area. Can you go get me some herbs?" Stone nodded and ran off to find the herbs. Then she went black again.

Stone dropped the herbs down waiting for Briar leaf to wake up; He was covered in scratches,but the worst was a deep cut in his ear.

Briarleaf woke up again and swallowed some of the herbs. She noticed Stones ear and snagged some cobwebs from the trees branches. " Here. Put this on your ear and eat these. And is there any shelter nearby? " Stood up wobbily and leaned on Rainstar.

Stone nodded and started to walk to a smaller two-leg house right next to the bigger one. "This is where i live. My two-leg died a moon after my mate died. Lay down on the straw over there." Stone pointed his tail towards the straw pile.
"I'd guess they were mates.. But at the same time she's acting like a medicine cat.. she probably became the medicine cat.. " stone thought secretly.
Briarleaf murmmered thanks then settled down cozily in the stram and quickly fell asleep after saying god night to Rainstar and Stone.

ReplyDeleteBriarleaf opened her eyes to see a beautiul cat staring at her.
ReplyDelete"Mother?" she whispered. The cat nodded and licked her ear gently.
"You may think love will never happen for you little one, but this I would not belive." she breathed. Then she dissapeared into the stary mist and Briarleaf woke with a start.
Raintalon shifted a little but was still asleep.

Stone looked at Briarleaf waking up. "He's still asleep so be quiet." Stone turned and looked out of the barn window again.

Gets out of her bed carefully and limps over to barn door and gazes outside. She started thinking about her dream. Does Mother really think I can find love? she thought.

Rainstar sturred awake, looking at STone leaving. "Finally awake huh?" Looks over to see Briarleaf at the door.

Briarleaf limps over and notices Rainstars sprained paw.

ReplyDelete" Ummm...nooooooo...I'm fine." Briarleaf was'nt sure she should tell Rainstar about her dream. But it would'nt matter. he thought bitterly. Rainstar HAD a mate.
"Sigh. Well I had a dream..." tells Rainstar about her dream.

ReplyDeleteRainstar listened. Standing up, he walked over and sighed, sitting next to her and looked at the door of the barn as Stone walked in. "Lets talk about this later.. I don't want Stone hearing.." Rainstar looked at Briarleaf and then turned to say hi to his brother.

"Welcome back to living." Stone spoke softly. "I brought food," He put down 2 Mice. "It's raining so you can't go back today. The neighbors dog always is let loose past the gate to chase away intruders during raining days." Stone set the prey down and padded through another door.

Briarleaf nodded and started washing her chest. She sighed and picked at a mouse. She looked over at Rainstar and Stone and slipped out the door into the cool, refreshing rainShe sat down in front of the door where they could see her and stated crying.

Rainstar breathed a sigh and watched Briarleaf. There was nothing he could do.

Again Briarleaf woke in the forests of StarClan. She blinked and her eyes soon adjusted to the light in front of her. Voices swirled around her.
ReplyDelete" Briarleaf....Briarleaf....". They were voices of her mother, her siblings, cats she failed to save.
"Help us...." they moaned.
But Briarleaf was woken by a warm pull, trying to get her away from those voices. She awoke with a blink.
Rainstar looked at Briarleaf once he saw her open here eyes. "Something wrong?" He looked at her.

"N-n-no!" Briarleaf stuttered. She was'nt going to tell Rainstar about this dream. Because she had heard a voice of a kit. And there were no kits in RainClan that had died. She had a chilling feeling she knew who it was.

Curls up and tries very, very, VERY hard to go to sleep. When she does she had baaaaaaad nightmares. Wakes up meowing desperstley and sweating bukets from fear.

Rainstar looked at his brother. He shook his head and sighed, watching Briarleaf pace.. It was best to leave her to calm down for a few minutes.

ReplyDeleteSuddenly her hurt leg goes out from under her. She quickly pulls herslef over to the hay where she is close to fainting.
Stone looked at Rainstar but sighed and threw a mouse to Briar. "If you don't eat and rest, you'll live here by the time u heal!"

Rainstar sighed and walked over. He grabbed a bird and just ate it, watching his surroundings.
Nods and swallows mouse. Watches the sun fade and the moon rise then climbs into bed and pretends to sleep.

ReplyDeleteThen she slips out of bed and quietly skims over to Rainstar at the door. But right when she's telling him THE THING an ice-cold voices says
" Hello again...Briarkit." Briarleaf hisses and arches her back then see's a shine of silver fur. Pounces on the rouge cat and is easily thrown off.
(Thats the EVIL cat!)
Rainstar flipped around to see the rouge from before fighting against Briar. He jumped onto the rouge but was knocked off, his leg throbbing with pain as he bit back a yelp.

Briarleaf hissed filled with pain and rage. She leaped again, knocking Stone off and lashed her claws out on him. She battled as thought StarClan were guiding her paws,.

ReplyDeleteJumps off and chases him away from the barn then stops and looks around. She's breathing hard and has a big gash on her shoulder. She watches it for a moment but when she gets up to leave takes a step, sways and falls to the ground with a thump.
Both Rainstar &Stone went over and gently pulled her into the barn, laying her into the straw pile, stone closing the door so the rouge wouldn't be able to get it again.
ReplyDelete...Briar jerked awake. She was back home. But she was in the nursery, looking at a tiny kit. The kit was coughing hystericly. She ran to her den and got some herbs. But she was too late. A soft voice next to her murmmered :
ReplyDelete" It's not your fault of what's going to happen..." it whispered.
Stone climbed up onto the very top on the barn, looking around from the outside.

"Right now?" Rainstar asked, but stood up,helping Briar stand up also.

"Go on ahead, I'll come to SquirrelClan later." Stone said as he opened the door.

" Yes now! And Stone I think you sholud come. We need a deputy, and the rouge is still out there. So you're both coming. " Gazes at Rain and Stone, her gaze asking them to challege her.
